Dr. Joel Aronowitz: “This morning we’re going to try to make a woman happy. She has very large pendulous heavy breasts and she suffers a lot from them. She has grooves in her shoulders from the bra straps.

She has difficulty with neck and upper back pain. She has difficulty with her clothing and with physical activities because of these very heavy breasts. And as the breasts get heavy the skin stretches and they become pendulous which makes it even more so.

So we’re going to reduce her down to a full b-cup and I’m going to show you how that works. So first I’ve marked where the nipple is going to go to. These lines are the skin that’s remaining.

Everything above here is skin that’s going to remain and these two points in this triangle are going to come together like this and then this line here is going to come down and hook up with this line down below. So all of this skin will be removed that’s inside this pattern and the nipple and areola will be carried on its own little stalk or what we medically call a pedicle. So that’s how breast reduction works.”
